Our firm
Practical legal help for families and individuals across British Columbia
Premier Law Corporation is a British Columbia law firm based in Surrey and serving the Lower Mainland. Family law and civil litigation are the core of the practice, and we also act in immigration and real estate matters.
Why the firm works the way it does
We often help the same client with more than one issue, because legal problems rarely arrive one at a time. A separation raises questions about the house, and sometimes about immigration status. A dispute with a builder or a strata lands on a family already stretched thin.
The firm was set up around a practical observation. Someone going through a separation is juggling several problems at once: the legal questions, the money, the children and their own wellbeing. Advice that deals only with the legal question, and ignores the rest, is not much use to them.
- 01
We learn the facts before giving an opinion
That makes the first meeting longer than some people expect, and it saves a good deal of time and money later.
- 02
The first meeting costs nothing
You can sit down with a lawyer, explain the situation and hear where you stand before spending anything. For many people that one meeting is enough to know what to do next.
- 03
Our assessments are realistic
If the position you want is not supported by the law, we say so at the start rather than months into a file. People who know where they stand make better decisions.
- 04
We settle where we can and litigate where we must
When the other side will negotiate in good faith, we use negotiation, mediation or collaborative practice. When they will not, we go to court, and we tell you early enough to plan.
