What we collect
When you contact us or book a consultation, we collect the information you choose to give us: usually your name, phone number, email address, the type of matter, the names of other people involved and a short description of your situation.
Our website also uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects basic technical information such as the pages visited, the type of browser and device used, and approximate location, so that we can see how the site is used. It does not tell us who you are. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on, without affecting how the site works.
Why we collect it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, check for conflicts of interest, arrange a consultation and, if you become a client, provide legal services. We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated purposes.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed to act on your matter, where you consent, or where the law requires it. That can include courts, government agencies, opposing counsel in the course of a matter, and service providers who help us operate, such as secure email, document storage and form processing providers.
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards, and we keep client information confidential as required by the Law Society of British Columbia. Please do not send detailed confidential information through the website before you have spoken with us.
Keeping and accessing your information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law and professional rules. You may ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting the firm.
